Andrea Marchetti

I've always been attracted to abandoned objects.
Studying them to see what kind of life or people they've encountered by the wear and tear of its exterior.
Chairs, especially belong in this category.
Not the pretty ones you find in design magazines but the bruised and battered one you find on the side of the road.
There is so much you can learn from people by the objects they own.
And as far as I can remember chairs have always been my favorite objects to photograph.

At the book store today I found this pretty great book by
Andrea Marchetti entitled "Lost-tales of chairs and dereliction."

She articulates the beauty of this objects in a much more brilliant way then I could ever.
